Increased security for external file sharing

As part of January's small software renovations, we made security updates for sharing images and files from Buildertrend. This provides a higher level of data and file protection, ensuring links are only accessible when shared intentionally. This update allows you to revoke access to previously shared files and documents, so they can no longer be used by individuals removed from a job.

Moved to Early Adopter

Also, as part of our small software renovations, the following items are now in Early Adopter:

• Easily share detailed project links: We added a Copy Share Link located at the top left next to the feature header on To-Do’s, Daily Logs, Schedules, Purchase Orders, Bills and Selections. This allows you to copy the URL link from an entry in one of these features and paste it into a message, comment, chat, email, etc. when communicating with team members, subcontractors and homeowners.

• Quickly see important Daily Logs with these new filters:

  • My Daily Logs: Only shows Daily Logs created by you.

  • All Logs This Week: Shows Daily Logs that have been created by anyone in the past seven days.

• Quickly see your assigned schedule items with these new filters:

  • My Schedule Items: Only shows schedule items assigned to you.

  • Past Due for You: Shows schedule items assigned to you with a status of not complete and a due date that has passed.

• Customize Owner Invoice line items: We're adding more transparency to the financial information on Owner Invoices with new data options including line item markup amount, markup type (%,$, per unit) and builder cost. You can choose to display or hide line item details such as titles, descriptions, unit costs, quantities, markups, markup types and builder costs. Visit this roadmap card to learn more.
