Recently went live

• Better job costing with new Budget columns: We added three new columns to the Budget feature, providing a clearer outline of remaining job costs and expenses to date. We also replaced Total Costs with Projected Costs in the Gross Profit headline.

• Customize Owner Invoice line items: We added more transparency to the financial information on Owner Invoices with new data options including line item markup amount, markup type (%,$, per unit) and builder cost. You can now choose to display or hide line item details such as titles, descriptions, unit costs, quantities, markups, markup types and builder costs.

• As part of our small software renovations, the following items are now live:

  • Easily attach bills to an Owner Invoice: When creating an Owner Invoice from a Bill, you now have an Import Attachments checkbox allowing you to attach bills to the new invoice. These documents will also auto save in your attachments folder in the Files section for both Invoices and Bills.

  • Easier creation of cost groups when importing estimates: When importing an estimate from Excel, there’s now a Create button available at the content mapping stage. This allows you to automatically create new cost groups not yet added to Buildertrend.

  • Easier creation of sources when importing leads: When importing leads from Excel to Buildertrend's Sales section, there’s now a Create button during the content mapping stage. This will allow you to automatically create new sources not yet added to Buildertrend.

  • Improved homeowner error messages for online payments: We updated our error messages for homeowner online payments to be more actionable. This will help homeowners better understand the error and how to solve it.

  • Ability to link inbound payment account to QuickBooks or Xero: For Buildertrend Payments, you now have the ability to connect QuickBooks or Xero to your Buildertrend Payments inbound bank accounts.

  • Ability to mark Completed bills as void: There may be situations where you need to mark bills as void after they’re marked Complete in Buildertrend. This option is now available in your online payment details. When using this function, you’ll be alerted that the bill will be void in Buildertrend and QuickBooks, however, no physical funds will be returned to your account.

  • Quickly see important To-Do's with these new filters:

    • All Due Today: Shows all To-Do's due today for everyone.

    • All Past Due: Shows all past due To-Do's for everyone.

  • Quickly see assigned items in your Schedule with these new filters:

    • All Past Due: Shows all past due schedule items for everyone.

    • To-Do's on your schedule view: Your Schedule's recommended view now includes To-Do’s by default.

• View QuickBooks vendor credits in the Budget: Vendor credits are being added to the Budget to help improve actual cost tracking for accounts connected to QuickBooks.
