July 15-19 Buildertrend updates
Moved to Early Adopter
Small software renovations in Early Adopter:
Mandatory contract types: When creating new jobs, it’s now mandatory to select if the job is a Fixed Price or Open Book contract. This classification controls some column calculations on the Job Costing Budget. You can also set contract type defaults on Owner Invoices. Over time, platform functionality will rely more heavily on this field.
Presale status for jobs: You now have the option to place a job in Presale status to separate jobs that haven’t been sold. This function allows the use of Estimates, Bids, Daily Logs, To-Do’s, etc. during the estimating and proposal process.
Updated subcontractor PO payment requests: Previously, when a sub requested a payment from a PO, a $0 bill only showing a requested amount was generated. Now, the requested cost is automatically allocated across editable line items. This will prevent over-requesting of PO amounts, allow you to edit or adjust costs and remove errors when adjusting bills linked to a PO.
Job Proposal signature and email updates: As a follow-up to multiple homeowner approvals on Job Proposals, we updated Job Proposal approvals to show details like who signed, when they signed and whether they approved or denied. We also updated automated email notifications for multiple signatures, which will help you track Job Proposal progress.
In Progress
Modern Customer Portal Summary page: To deliver more valuable information to homeowners, we’re modernizing the Customer Portal summary page for desktop users. Changes include new sections for clearer builder contact information, homeowner Action Items, Communications and Project Financials. We also added a new Next Invoice callout, and we're changing the current Daily Log section to a horizontal list called Project Updates. Visit the roadmap card for more details.
