Set a default margin or markup by Cost Type: To help provide more control over your project profitability we're adding the ability to set a default markup or margin by Cost Type (i.e. labor, material, equipment, subcontractor rate, etc.) for line items on Estimates and Change Orders. Visit the roadmap card to view all the changes.

Small software renovations in EA:

• View job proposal history and status with the new Proposal Dashboard: In the Estimate feature, we replaced the Proposal button with a Proposal Dashboard button. This leads to a page displaying the history and statuses of estimates and job proposals. You can now view all job proposals as PDF's and keep a record of proposals you’ve built and shared with homeowners.

• Send bill attachments to Xero: We created the ability to automatically sync bill attachments from Buildertrend with Xero. This eliminates the need for you to manually upload bill images or documents to the corresponding bill in Xero.

• Buildertrend Payments update – better messaging for micro-deposits: We added visual elements and better messaging to the Customer Portal, making it more apparent to homeowners when they need to complete a micro-deposit bank verification.

Get multiple homeowner approvals on Job Proposals: We’re making it possible for builders to request and capture multiple signatures on job proposals. This will help ensure final job proposals have the homeowner approvals needed for contracts to be considered valid and legally binding.
