Small software renovations for November
Centralized defaults for Homeowner job settings: We’ve consolidated all homeowner-related permission options into one new section in Company Settings, titled Homeowners. You can now configure all default settings for the Customer Portal from this section instead of configuring settings one-by-one on individual jobs. You can also override individual job settings as needed.
Client access to Job Costing Budget items: Through a new job setting, you can now show your clients related items on the Job Costing Budget via the Customer Portal. Related items will display the same as they do on your Builder Portal. This additional transparency helps you avoid inquiries from your clients on the outline of budget values and what may be contributing to being over or under budget.
QuickBooks Online deposit record for Buildertrend Payments settlements: If you're using Buildertrend Payments and are connected to QuickBooks Online, we now automatically create a bank deposit record in QuickBooks when a Buildertrend Payments settlement is created.
Moved to Early Adopter
Sync bill edits to Quickbooks and Xero
Users connected to QuickBooks Online or Xero can edit pre-existing, unpaid bills in Buildertrend and those edits will automatically sync in their accounting platform. This prevents having to make edits to bills in both platforms or delete and re-create bills to make changes.
Small software renovations in Early Adopter
Easily view and navigate to associated entities for files: We added an Associated Items section to the overflow menu on every file. This will help you easily identify all associated items a file is attached to. You can also navigate directly to the where the file is attached, in the following features: Daily Logs, Schedule items, Bills, Purchase Orders, Change Orders, Bid Packages, Owner Invoices, Selections, Warranties, Estimates and Requests for Information.
New document version history: A document version history view is now accessible within Document information. You can now use the Upload New Version button instead of Replace File. You can view a list or download previously saved document versions. You can also see version numbers, timestamps and the user who replaced the file.
Simplified Job Cost Budget for fixed price jobs: In the Job Costing Budget the following columns will default as off for fixed price jobs: Original Sales Price, Revised Sales Price, Amount Invoiced, Remaining to Invoice and % Invoiced of Owner Price.
Google Pay for Invoices and Deposits: Homeowners can now take advantage of a faster, simpler checkout and pay Owner Invoices and Deposits using Google Pay.
