Applying US tax to Change Orders, Selections, Proposals and Estimates
We're currently working on U.S. tax functionality for Owner Invoices. Once that is complete, we will have the ability to add the same functionality to Change Orders, Selections, Proposals and Estimates.
Adding tax functions to Change Orders and Selections will be useful as they’re often converted to invoices.
Proposals and Estimates will have a section for applying a sales tax rate or group. This will include the automated local tax, imported from Quickbooks Online.
Only the invoice itself will sync with QuickBooks, but by including real tax information (in Buildertrend) prior to the invoice, you and your clients will have more accurate prices and costs, throughout the process.
Note: Similar to our first release, this functionality is specifically for the QuickBooks Online integration in the U.S., or U.S. users who don't connect to an accounting platform. It’ll be a web-only function with mobile functions coming later.
We are taking feedback and monitoring the desire for mobile app functionality, tax reporting, and support for users outside the U.S. (e.g., Canadian taxes, Australian taxes, linking to XERO, etc.).
