Small software renovations: September

At Buildertrend, we care about your feedback. Below are some of the items we recently launched that’ll impact several of our most-used features. These customer-driven updates will help improve your workflows and make your day run smoother.

Financial updates:

• Better Excel exporting for the Job Costing Budget: We updated the Excel export format, so you can now export items without having to manually open each related tag.

• Simultaneously view headers and totals on the Job Costing Budget: We updated the Job Costing Budget’s bottom row to always be visible, even when scrolling, giving you constant visibility to column headers and totals.

Project management and Files updates:

• Optional default folder viewing permissions: When you add new folders, viewing permissions for subs/vendors and homeowners are auto checked by default. You can now change this in the settings within Files.

• Attach from Files to Change Orders and Warranties: You can now attach single files to an existing change order or warranty from the action menu within Files.

• Attach multiple files to Daily Logs: Users can now attach multiple files to existing Daily Logs from the action menu within Files.

• Attach files to a Selections or Bids: Users can now attach single files to an existing selection choice or bid package from the action menu within Files.

• Attach multiple files to To-Do's and Schedule items: Users can now attach multiple files to existing To-Do’s and schedule items from the action menu within Files.

Homeowner portal update:

• Customer Portal impersonation reminder: When you view the Customer Portal from your builder page, there's now a banner at the top reminding you that you're impersonating a homeowner.
